Fukuyama University was founded in 1975 and consists of 14 undergraduate departments in five faculties, and 13 degree programs in four graduate schools.  It is a comprehensive university with 34 educational buildings on a large 360,000 square-meter campus. With an educational philosophy of "respect for humanity and broad-based education that aims for well-balanced character development," Fukuyama University is working to produce persons with far-reaching general knowledge and specialized expertise, as well as a strong human spirit.
