Hiroshima Institute of Technology

Originally Hiroshima Technical Collage, founded in 1961, Hiroshima Institute of Technology (Faculty of Engineering) was established in 1962. Since then, the institution has continued to expand, with the likes of the establishment of the Graduate School of Engineering and the reorganization and addition of faculties and departments. We have seen more than 40,000 students successfully graduate.
At present, the university has four faculties, namely, the Faculty of Engineering, the Faculty of Applied Information Science, the Faculty of Environmental Studies, and the Faculty of Life Sciences, as well as twelve departments. Founded on the idea of “society, environment, and ethics,” we educate highly-specialized professionals who can contribute to the social development of the 21st century, which emphasizes both technology and humanity.
