The Hiroshima National College of Maritime Technology is a technical college with a history of more than 110 years that is located in the beautiful natural environment of the Seto Inland Sea. Students enroll in this 5-year program (5 years, 6 months for Merchant Vessels) after graduating middle school. Exchange students can enter the college as a third-year student. The college is equipped with dormitories and all exchange students wishing to reside in a dormitory may do so. The college is recognized for its professional training through classwork and practical training focused on acquiring specialized knowledge and skills with 20% of graduates advancing to university or to a major at this college (two-year course) and 80% seeking employment.
